Article 1
There is no problem when I go into a card store and buy a pack of cards. The problem I have with the industry is that if you don't pull the ROOKIE card or that hard to find INSERT card the rest of your cards that could book for $5 dollars and up are not easily sellable.
It's to bad that the fun was taken out of the hobby. The packs are to costly for kids to buy unless they are using their saving not there spare couple of bucks
I just guess the bottom line is that the almighty dollar has overpowered these owners of the stores and I truly feel bad for them to because I'm sure there business is affected to.
It's to bad people just can't suck up there guts and just say no to the baseball card companies I have.
So I just guess that those 4-5 thousand singles I have I'd Be better off donating to kids charity unless you buy them
Wishing I was just still a kid and didn't have to deal with reality-ni902@cs.com

topic - grading companies
another way to get the collectors money! with today's technology, there is no reason to grade cards of today or probably the last 5 years.
I saw on ebay that a 92-93 #1 upper deck shaq card graded gem mint was going for over 500.00. come on people, the card industry is getting out of hand.
I think people need to stay away from these companies unless you have older cards before 1990.
thank you!

For years I have been a loyal fan of nascar. I even gone as far as to buy products from sponsors who support nascar. But no more.
When you people stand in front of a camera, and spout off about how fan oriented you are, or we do it all for our loyal fans, it makes me laugh.
If nascar is so fan oriented, than how do they justify giving television contracts to networks that aren't even available to all fans? Sounds to me like the dollar is more important. Or on your web site. You feed out some information, but to get the complete story on what's going on, you have to join your pay site. Looks to me like the dollar wins again.
I'm only guessing, but I'd almost bet that a good number of your fans can't even afford a computer, let alone pay for additional services on the web. As far as fx sports, I hope that our local cable company (comcast) doesn't give in to fox's rediculous demands just to bring a couple of races to the loyal fans.
I think I'll go back to open wheel for my racing entertainment. At least we all ready know they're in it for the money.
PS. There will be 4 additional tickets available for the 2003 Pepsi 400. Sell mine to some other loyal fan.
Article 4
Sportscards have been my collecting thing since I was five, which was 11
years ago when I started, WOW, that is long. But cards, are probably the
coolest, and easiest thing to collect when it comes to collecting. I
buy/sell/trade mine, and always love collecting certain players. Cards in 3
words to me are: They the bomb. I know they have cost me a fortune in the
past 11 years, about 2000 to be exact. They do cost a lot, but the fun of
opening a pack, and pulling something cool out is the best. Probably the
best pull I have had since this football season was an Edgerrin James from
Topps Chrome, I bought a few packs at the show, about 4, and the chrome was
my last, and that is the only chrome that i have opened so far this year.
Well to be amazed I pulled out an Edgerrin James. I was freaking out,
people were congradulating me, I was excited. Well I could have traded it
right then and there, but I had to leave, and in the 10 minutes after I
pulled it, and before I left, I had some nice offers on it and passed. Well
lets talk about BECKETT value on cards. I think that beckett is great, but
in some ways, there prices suck. Sometimes it can be a nice card of a
player who does outstanding stuff, and be worth crap. I think that they
need to raise the price on some of there cards. Like Tatis, he should be
worth a few bucks, shouldnt he. Well I was happy when his rcs went up, but
I just got the recent beckett, and found out that his rc prices went down.
I was stunned!!! For what he did the past season like 2 grandslams in 1
inning, 35+ homers, 20+ stolen bases, he joined the 20/20 club, and he made
some of the best defensive plays I have ever seen. So I think beckett can
be good and bad. Well that is my words about cards, and everything. Check

cards at great prices"
